A letter on paper of the finest quality, undecorated but undeniably beautiful. The seal is the formal mark of the Resshan Ambassador to Banteave.
Lord Royse, most esteemed Knight Captain Sandoreale,
It would be the pleasure of the office of the Ambassador to accept the most generous offer extended to us by your noble self. We must hope that this will be the beginning of a fine diplomatic relationship not merely between our houses but also our nations. What unity we may find in these times is to be treasured and nurtured.
In the spirit of such diplomatic ventures, we sincerely anticipate your gathering.
With kind regards,
Claude Luneste, 16th Earl of the Silver March
Resshan Ambassador to the Honourable Kingdom of Banteave
P.S. Lord, Royse, nearly sent this as-is - forgive me, I'm told my jokes can be inscrutable, which isn't my intent, but one isn't as sharp as one's sister, you know? I hope you'll have time to know me better and understand that I don't mean this sort of nonsense in earnest, but also that I have such terrible impulses in me to jest all the same. Would be delighted to attend a gathering of the sort you mention - a little light entertainment and some decorative surroundings sound just the thing. I'll let my attempt at humour stand - better you know my fool self from the first. Shouldn't do at all to have it come as a shock later. You see me as I am!
Your prospective friend Claude, whose Earldom is far less impressive than it sounds, I swear to you
